Episcopal Community Service Day

For Episcopal Community Service Day, inspired by the Bishop-elect Robert Wright, a bunch of us went down to the Atlanta Community Food Bank on Joseph E. Lowery Blvd to pack food; Joe and Joseph Henry, Jeanne, Tricia and Peg packed 13,000 pounds of food last Saturday afternoon. The food bank distributes food through more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies in 29 counties in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.

Gloria and Lucy; they packed boxes on the afternoon shift and met the new bishop and his wife, who had also come to volunteer. Pounds of boxes packed: 7,000.
